Driving Instructors Needed

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver in‑car and classroom instruction for Beginner Driver Education (BDE), G2/G (ON) or Class 5 (NB) test prep
  • Mentor learners across all levels—from nervous beginners to new Canadians and seasoned drivers looking for a road-ready refresher
  • Maintain accurate student records following MTO and NB DPS guidelines

Requirements:

  • Valid provincial driving instructor certification (MTO/ON or NB DPS license)
  • Clean driving abstract and vehicle access
  • Excellent patience, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • 2–5 years of driving experience; teaching/training is a strong asset
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends

      [Laurentian Driving School] is the only driving school in Canada that provides literally everything you need for doing your job as an in-car driving instructor, plus extra perks that go way above and beyond industry standards. Your car is provided along with fuel, insurance, equipment, regular maintenance/repairs, etc. It’s very modernized with usage of software apps, notifications/reminders. Plus they give you benefits, and paid holidays! They are also very flexible in letting you self-schedule (with office backup when needed) or if you don’t want to self-schedule, they’ll do all the work for you. There’s no lack of students either. They pay for the hotels, the car, the insurance, everything to help you set up and get into the industry with support from knowledgeable staff along the way. A typical day is logging into the scheduling software and driving from student to student for 1 hour or 2 hour lessons.At the end of the day, it is up to you to make sure your students feel ready and have the skills developed so that they can pass their exams. It takes effort and practice from the student and teacher, so have a good learning plan, every student learns at a different pace! Finding the right pace of each student, and making sure everyone is safe by practicing proper scanning/checks all while developing good turning and braking can be challenging, can also be fun and exciting.
