1-Hour Lesson
Perfect for targeted practice on a specific maneuver, a quick refresher before a test, or to address a particular driving challenge.
Hourly Lesson Packages
Save by booking a 5- or 10-hour block of lessons — schedule your hours any time in 1- or 2-hour sessions.
- 5-Hour Lesson Package: Ideal for those who need more comprehensive practice on various skills, or to get comfortable with different road conditions.
- 10-Hour Lesson Package: Our most popular option for extensive practice, skill development, and building overall confidence, offering the best value for learners needing more in-depth instruction..
Please Note: While most of our locations proudly offer 1, 5, and 10-hour lesson blocks, some remote or smaller locations may only offer 5-hour or 10-hour blocks, or may not offer hourly lessons directly. We recommend contacting your specific local Laurentian Driving School branch to confirm their available hourly lesson options and pricing.
What You’ll Cover in Hourly Driving Lessons
Our hourly lessons are fully customizable to your needs. Our professional instructors will work with you to hone specific skills, which may include the folloowing:
- Refresher Training: For licensed drivers who haven’t driven in a while and need to regain confidence.
- Pre-Road Test Practice: Focused sessions to fine-tune skills required for your G1 exit (G2) or G2 exit (G) road test.
- Specific Maneuvers: Mastering parallel parking, three-point turns, lane changes, or navigating complex intersections.
- Defensive Driving Techniques: Enhancing your ability to anticipate and react safely to various road conditions and hazards.

What to Expect During Your Lesson
Your instructor will pick you up and drop you off at your preferred location. Please provide 24 hours notice if you expect to miss your in-car lesson; otherwise a no-show fee may apply.
You will practice driving behind the wheel of a Laurentian Driving School car with the instructor beside you. Please ensure you have your G1 licence with you at all times. As per MTO rules, you cannot have passengers in the vehicle with you during training.
Lessons are customized to your needs, and may include:
Parking, turns, lane changes, and intersection practice
- Defensive driving and speed management
- Prepping for your G2 road test with route simulations
Take Your Test in a Safety-Certified Vehicle
Compliment your lessons with road test, including G1 Exit, G2 Exit or G road test prep that includes:
- Pre-test in-car lessons
- Use of the instructor’s vehicle on test day
- Pickup and drop-off at home or the test centre
This option is ideal if you’re nervous, unsure about test routes, or want the best chance of passing on your first try.
