Why Pay More for Driver Training?

Most driving schools fall into two categories: small independent instructors or franchises. Small instructors often face high costs—insurance, vehicles, fuel, and admin—which means higher prices for students. Many don’t have a proper office and operate out of their cars.
Franchises come with big startup fees and ongoing royalty costs, often adding over $100 per student. They’re also required to maintain offices and pay for national marketing, yet they don’t always benefit from volume discounts on vehicles or insurance.
At Laurentian Driving School, we’re different. We’re Canada’s largest non-franchised full-service driving school and part of Transport Training Centres of Canada—the country’s leader in truck and heavy equipment training.
By training thousands each year across multiple programs, our cost per student is lower—and we pass those savings on to you. You get high-quality, professional training at an affordable price.
